Well suited to nature, wildlife and action photography, the Fuji XF 100-400mm is a high performance telephoto lens, ideal for capturing subjects at a distance. Twin linear motors deliver quick, quiet, and smooth autofocus performance, which is beneficial when working with fast moving subjects. With a weather sealed construction and fluorine coated front element to guard against dust and moisture, the lens can be used in a wide range of outdoor shooting conditions. The lens has been designed for handheld photography, with a 5 stop image stabilisation system to minimise the appearance of camera shake. Paired with our XF 1.4x Teleconverter, you can extend the reach of the lens by 40%.

The lens worked well without any issues through a weekend’s worth of activity outdoors in the cold, and the image stabilisation in the lens made it easy for me to capture nice and sharp low-light photos at lower shutter speeds without having to resort to increasing the ISO considerably. It continued to perform well and produce sharp shots together with the 1.4X teleconverter, and it was a real bonus to find out that the lens came with a UV-filter attached 🙂
