FAQs

How does it work?

Our rental process is designed to be as easy and convenient as possible.  Once you find the items you would like to rent, select the dates from the calendar on the page of every item, click “BOOK NOW” and follow the steps to the checkout.  We will send a confirmation email to you and your items will be delivered on the day you requested.  At the end of your rental period, put the equipment back in the box it came in and we will collect it from you.

How is the rental period calculated?

The rental period starts at 08:00AM on the first day of your booking and runs for 24 hours.  The rental ends at 08:00AM on the day after the last day of your booking.  For example if you book an item for 3 days it will be collected the morning of the 4th day.

How do I get my pictures after my rental period?

Included with each camera rental is a memory card reader, so you can easily transfer files to your laptop or tablet if you have a USB adapter.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit/debit cards.  However we do not accept cash or cheque at this time.

Can I extend my rental period?

If the item is available we are happy to extend your rental.  Contact us as soon as you know you want to extend your reservation and we will let you know if it is possible.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes.  Cancellations made more than 7 days before the start of your booking will receive a full refund.  Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start of your booking will receive a 25% fee.

Do you charge a deposit?

We do not require a deposit to book our equipment.

What if I damage the equipment?

Let us know as soon as possible.  We understand that accidents happen, and minor scuff marks or scratches on the exterior of the equipment are considered wear and tear and not what we call damage.  Anything more severe than this and it will need to be reported.  If you choose to add our insurance option to your booking, the maximum liability for damages will be 1,000kr.  If you do not add our insurance, you will be responsible for any major damage during your booking, so please make sure your own insurance covers photography equipment.  If you lose any items you will be responsible for the cost of a replacement.

What do you consider damage?

Any major scratches, cracks or scuff marks to the glass, or impact damage to the body or mechanics.  Minor marks on the barrel or hood are considered ordinary wear and tear.  To keep your costs down, try to return the equipment in the same condition you received it.

What are my insurance options?

We offer an optional insurance add on during the checkout process for 300kr.  All of your equipment will be covered under our insurance policy for the entire booking.  In the case of damage, your liability will not exceed 1,000kr, no matter how expensive the repair is.  Alternatively you can choose not to add the insurance to your booking if you would like to use your own.

Are my items guaranteed to arrive by a specific time?

Your items will be delivered to the agreed pick up point by 08:00AM on the day of your booking.  In exceptional circumstances we will contact you if there is a delay and your booking will be compensated.  Your delivery and collection are included in your booking fee so there is no extra cost.  If there is a delay on the return of your items, please contact us as soon as possible.

Can I arrange a delivery time?

Yes.  Should you require a later delivery time, send an email and this can be arranged.

What if I have my own insurance?

Great!  If you choose to use your own insurance, just make sure it covers photography equipment rentals.
